What are the advantages of using Workload Placement?
The output provided by the Workload Placement module helps to successfully plan a migration. Assets, such as VMs, hosts, etc., and workloads that are identified by VirtualWisdom are captured in an archive file provided by Virtana Services. The archive file is uploaded to Workload Placement, which inventories those assets and then calculates the dependencies between all the assets.
The Workload Placement module helps answer questions such as: What should move to the public cloud? What should stay on-premises? What must be moved together?
Using the output, you can confirm migration approach and scope, measure and modify workload dependencies, analyze migration scenarios, and group various assets to be moved together.
The Cost Analysis report allows you to determine the best CSP for your specific environment, to provide you with the most financially efficient and technically effective cloud migration.
