New Features! – Support for Kubernetes Containers & Series Type Constraint

If you have workloads deployed on Kubernetes, you need to be sure they are appropriately constrained and monitored to avoid excess spend. You can now configure your AWS Kubernetes containers with Cloud Cost Management so you can receive recommendations for right-sizing workloads to reduce costs!  (Support for Azure Kubernetes containers is coming soon.) 

Virtana Platform can ingest Kubernetes data around the AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS). Cloud Cost Management then collects metrics that allow you to analyze usage on your Kubernetes containers. You can also configure constraints based on your key metrics and your risk tolerance. Reports can be sent to selected recipients via email.

In addition, we added a constraint that provides the option to never change the Cloud Service Provider’s series type when making right-sizing recommendations. This option is easily disabled in the right-sizing policy if you later change your mind.
